In this edition, I’d like to begin with a reflection on voice—how it shapes us, and how we
can return to it in new ways.
If you’d prefer to go directly to upcoming events, feel free to scroll down.
About twenty years ago, I set a sankalpa—an intention to study Sanskrit mantra and all
that it carries. The deeper I go, the more I understand this is an infinite path.
This journey followed a life of dance and a rigorous Ashtanga yoga practice, both of which
took me around the world. Much of that came to an abrupt pause after a serious injury
many years ago.
The discipline that once strengthened me was, in some ways, also depleting.
In recent years, as my body has asked for a gentler approach, I’ve found myself returning
to something deeply familiar—yet newly revealing:
My voice.
We all carry stories about our voice—some supportive, others limiting.
Yet we all have the capacity to breathe life into our voice, and through it, into our entire
body. It is never too late to explore this.
In my own experience, my voice has been shaped by many influences—encouraged at
times, silenced at others. What has shifted most recently is not how others hear it, but how
I experience it.
I find myself writing, singing, and expressing with more ease and enjoyment than ever
before.
Through my work in sound ceremonies, I’ve noticed something meaningful:
When people are invited to gently engage their voice and breath at the beginning of a
session, something opens. There is often more ease, more freedom—both in stillness and
in movement.
Sound becomes something we participate in, not just receive.
These experiences can shift how we relate—to ourselves, to one another, and to the world
around us.
In many ways, we are always in relationship with sound, vibration, and intention.
Upcoming Sound Ceremonies
I have two ceremonial sound healing experiences happening this month:
March 20 — Singing Sound Bath
With special guest Julie Blue, who will guide us into embodied voice before we move into
a deeply restorative sound bath with live instruments.

March 27 — Kirtan & Sound Bath
An evening of mantra, music, and collective voice. Together we will chant and move into a
sound bath supported by a group of musicians.

If you feel called to attend both, feel free to reach out for a combined
offering.
Thank you, as always, for being part of this evolving community.
We look forward to elevating our resonance with you!
